Increased Deferral Allowance for Submitting Applications to ICC

< Back to Vendor Updates

As a reminder, the rebatching window for verified applications is 10-12 business days prior to an Illinois Commerce Commission meeting. During the rebatching window, Approved Vendors may elect to defer an application from being submitted to the Commission up to two times. As a large number of systems were eligible for submission to the Commission for the February 17, 2022 open meeting, Approved Vendors may have used this deferral option to better manage the number of contract documents that they will be required to sign, as well as the amount of collateral that they will be required to post.

In order to assist Approved Vendors with managing the volume of contract signatures needed and collateral to be posted, during a limited window Approved Vendors will be allowed up to four deferrals for applications that are eligible to be submitted to the ICC’s February 17, 2022 and March 3, 2022, meetings. These applications must be Part I verified on or before February 14, 2022.

This is a temporary allowance and the two deferral limit will return beginning with applications that are Part I verified after February 14, 2022. Approved Vendors should contact the Program Administrator if they have concerns that the additional deferrals offered during this time are not sufficient to alleviate concerns of high collateral amounts or numerous contracts requiring signatures.

More detail on the batching process and collateral requirements can be found in Section 5(A) of the Program Guidebook.
