Community Solar Project Requirements
Applications for community solar projects must be made by an Approved Vendor, and community solar projects have additional terms and conditions compared to distributed generation projects.
The Administrator is currently drafting the community solar standard disclosures and marketing material review standards. Prior to finalization, the disclosure form and marketing material review standards will be subject to a stakeholder process including release of a draft, a stakeholder meeting and webinar, and a two-week comment comment period on the draft proposal. The dates for this process will be posted in the Updates section as soon as they are available.
Due to the expected very high interest in community solar projects that will likely exceed the available funding, the Agency and the Program Administrator are developing the details of the lottery that would be used to select which projects are approved for REC contracts. Details on the proposed lottery and opportunities for stakeholder feedback will be posted in the Updates section when available.
